What a Lamborghini can tell us about great leadership and how to be a great leader.
“What Hector?" What does an exotic Italian car have anything to do with leadership!?”
See here’s the thing, when you see it or hear the sound of it, you are inclined to turn your head, look and Bam!
Mental stimulation of the brain that draws you in as you set your eyes on that Lambo driving by. Did it “try hard” to capture attention? Nope.
Did a salesperson have to “sell it” and “create desire” to get someone to buy? Hell no. Why? It sells itself, It’s magnetic, and It draws people in. It captures and creates
It’s an attractive vehicle that nearly hypnotizes people’s emotions. And you know what? Leadership is no different.
Real leadership doesn’t demand desire or dedication
It creates it. Sadly, I see businesses working hard to “get clients” (client acquisition) Hoping to keep them (client retention)
And praying that the competition won’t steal them, that’s the equivalent of hoping that the wifey won’t divorce. Well, if she's treated like a hot turd, then she might peace out✌🏽
But if she’s experiencing something fantastic, then the likelihood of that happening is little to none.
Us humans are naturally programmed to instantly identify what we perceive to be attractive.
Which means that if we set ourselves up to be attractive leaders that show care, compassion, and empathy, then we won’t need to yank peoples arms in our direction begging them to be ours out of desperation.
Instead, people will be drawn in because Lamborghini leadership is inspiring and not demanding.
So do the inner work, and commit to serving people well
Because that is the way of the Lambo!
